Duke Energy Work to Require Lane Closures

Duke Energy is working in two locations in the Augusta Street area to replace poles and overhead lines as part of an effort to upgrade capacity and improve reliability.
The first is on McDaniel Avenue, from Augusta Street to Woodland Way, and the second is on Faris Road, from Augusta Street to Melville Avenue. Crews are working between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and lane closures will be required. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use caution when driving in these areas.

The final phase of work will take place on Melville Avenue, from Augusta Street to Faris Road, but a start date has not been set. All phases of the project are expected to be complete by this summer.
