Developing the Draft Plan for the City's Future

The GVL2040 comprehensive plan took shape during July and August, with the development of a draft plan. Drawing on input provided since June 2019 from the public and the steering committee, the draft blends Greenville’s core values and planning principles with the community’s priority issues: green space and the environment, affordable housing, and transportation and mobility. The team also created a vision for growth to advance each priority.

Steering committee members reviewed the draft plan in mid-August. During the committee’s upcoming September meeting, possible revisions to the draft will be discussed along with plans — guided by the steering committee — to present GVL2040 to the community.
